Come with me to the end of the world and beyond.
In Winter 2023 I was offered the incredible opportunity to voyage south (like, VERY south) to join a former-research-boat-turned-passenger-exploration-ship on a 10-day Antarctica voyage. The opportunity simply could not be passed up, so I took my flight through Argentina and made my way onboard for the epic adventure of a lifetime. I’m honored to say that adventure is now yours to be had.
Are you ready to visit one of the least populated, least visited, most stunning, most untouched ares of the world?
Come away with me to Antarctica in 2025!
What to expect —
Our journey will begin in Ushuaia, Argentina, “el Fin del Mundo” aka “the End of the World” where we can rest up, bop about town, and buy the waterproof pants we forgot to pack before setting sail. Ushuaia is a tiny town at the southernmost tip of Argentina full of fresh seafood, excellent Argentinian wines, and legendary chocolate. Fun fact: During this time of year, Ushuaia temperatures typically fall between 25-40 degrees F, so not as harsh as you might expect!
We’ll acclimate to the time change, buy a few souvenirs, sail the Beagle Channel for a sneak peek at the voyage to come, visit a few local museums and hot spots, and then together we will make our way to the gorgeous ship that will carry us across open seas to lands you thought you’d never get to see in real life. Once at port we’ll board ou home for the next week and a half! The staff will drop your bags in your room while you enjoy a leisurely check in, champagne in hand. What could be better?
Once everyone is on board, we set sail!
Get ready for the wildest, most stunning adventure of a lifetime. Your days will be filled with endless views of rare albatross following in our tailwinds, views of the open seas, skies, and icy landscapes, daily lectures in English and Spanish about the climate, the wildlife, and the lawless Antarctic continent. Plus, as always, guided beginner friendly yoga/breathwork/yoda nidra practices appropriate for ship life.
A buffet breakfast is available daily for early risers, and a 3-4 course lunch and dinner are served daily (don’t skip the bread course, it’s 10/10). If you aren’t sure abut Argentinian food let me assure you, the menu is insane and you will not go hungry. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with notice! I had the steak of my life aboard this ship, BBQ that rivals my hometown, and a killer caesar if I do say so myself. It is an Argentinian ship after all.
We'‘ll walk amongst the penguins, we’ll float amongst the whales, and we’ll enjoy the endless sunshine over freezing water and icy mountainscapes.
